Injured Worker Help: 

  1. In an Emergency Call "911"

  2. Call your supervisor ASAP.

  3. Non-Emergency Related injuries can use the link above to find a clinic to care for the worker.

  4. Call Safety Manager to inform of the injury: Ed Porter 210-471-8839.

  5. Manager/Coordinator 
    must go to "Fleet and Safety Page"  and complete the First
    Report of Injury Form to report the injury even if they did not require medical treatment....this must be done within 24 hrs of the injury.

  6. All Auto Accidents must have someone complete Auto Accident Report on the Fleet and Safety Page.

  • Employee BTS and Penguin Data Login - Once you have officially been hired, your supervisor or office manager will give you the passcode to log on and set up an account.  It is important to have access to this portal because the Employee/Contractor Manual & Safety Manual are online. Other important documents related medical and dental benefits are also posted.  Each time you need to make a change in your will be directed to the electronic documents, so you can complete the proper paperwork and submit it to the correct person.  This is an effort to make all company documents available 24/7 for your convenience.
  • Insurance - All Full-time employees are eligible for insurance benefits at 90 days of employment. Each employee will be notified by email prior to the 90 day mark via our Bernie Portal Benefit software to register and select their insurance preferences. All employees are required to register and then select or waive insurance.
    Once you access the Electronic Documents, you will see the link that clearly delineates how much each plan costs and how much will be deducted from each pay period.  Please take a look at this link in the electronic documents, if you have additional questions please email Kim Dearman at Also, There is a section on benefits in the employee/contractor manual.  The chart covers what services are available on each plan.
  • Drug Tests - Broadband Telecom Services, Inc. must have a clean drug test on file for each contractor or employee, before they can begin work.  All contractors and employees are subject to random and annual drug tests.
  • Valid Driver's License and Automotive Insurance - Each Broadband Telecom Services, Inc. technician and contractor must have a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance.
